Kusadasi – Okuz Mehmed Pasha Caravanserai
Okuz Mehmed Pasha Caravanserai is an inn with a large courtyard, located in Kusadasi. It was built by the Ottoman commander Okuz Mehmed Pasha. Okuz Mehmed Pasha, who commissioned the inn, also served as the Governor of Egypt and Grand Vizier under Ottoman rule.
After hundreds of years since its construction in 1618, the inn is renovated and being used as a hotel today. It was constructed as a fortress for defensive purposes at the time.
